Day of the Tentacle Triangular Edition

I once had this very rare (maybe the rarest) LucasArts' game and it was 100% complete. I bought it from eBay couple of years ago but unfortunately I don't have this anymore. Post some comments of this cool release.

Says "also available on disk-based formats" but I believe Triangular Edition is CD-ROM only right?

Tseki, do you know what's the story behind this edition? Why rare and why triangular?
I don't have it of course, but even regular manuals and hintbooks are of unusual dimensions so they would fit in this box.

Rare because it's promo box (very low printing quantity). Don't know why triangular shaped but maybe they wanted some special form and came up with the triangular form. Does it really include special shaped manual? I checked omar's DOTT pictures and that really might be true http://imgur.com/a/fUciH Can you omar please confirm this.
